Overview of Jersey Boys: Opening in Broadway in 2005, Jersey Boys musical is based on the 1960’s rock’roll groups, the Four Seasons. They have become so famous that in 2006 they won several Tony Awards, for Best Musical, Best Actor, John Lloyd Young, Best Featured Actor, Christian Hoff, and Best Lighting Design, Howell Binkley.
